I hear you.
I know that some of you have concerns regarding your own health.
I know that some of you have concerns regarding the health of your family members.
I know that some of you have daycare issues.
You need to do what is right for you and your family.
If you exhibit any symptoms that are associated with COVID-19, then stay home. Contact your health provider for direction. Per the CDC, these are the early symptoms:
• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of breath
Beyond that. If you or a family member have health concerns, it would be helpful for you to get a note from a doctor or a health provider stating that you should avoid contact with the general population.
Always work through your manager to express your concerns and state your needs.
If you choose to stay home, use either sick leave or family leave. Document all communication with your manager and your doctors. If OCM BOCES updates their policies, we may be able to have these leave codes changed retroactively.
As soon as I have more information, I will relay it to you.
